Pam Davison, Visual Storyteller.
Most of my work explores memory. How we remember memories. How we keep memories, narrate them, forget them and change them. Many of my explorations involve family and what that means. How family changes be it by death or separation, a family dynamic, an illness or age. How aging changes memories is one of my interests.
"The stories I tell are universal. They could be yours. They could be somebodies that you know."
I try to experiment with my own memory be it real or fictional and tell it through the use of objects. I like the domestic and everyday objects as they are the keys to memories.
After studying at the Photography Studies College and Professional Writing & Editing in Melbourne, Pam now works using digital and analogue media as a visual medium to tell stories exploring memories and relationships.
